Three Days Grace
Appearing in: houston, austin-san-antonio
Three Days Grace formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1992 and spent years developing before their major label debut in 2003 produced the breakthrough single "I Hate Everything About You," which spent twelve weeks at number one on the Modern Rock chart. Their early albums — the self-titled debut and One-X (2006) — established the formula: heavy, post-grunge rock built around big hooks and emotionally intense, relationship-driven lyrics delivered with enough aggression to satisfy hard rock radio while remaining melodically accessible enough for mainstream audiences.
Vocalist Adam Gontier departed the band in 2013, and the transition to current vocalist Matt Walst was expected to diminish their commercial standing. Instead, Three Days Grace has maintained — and in some respects increased — their chart presence, with albums Human (2015), Outsider (2018), and Explosions (2022) all producing multiple rock radio number-ones. That sustained success with a lead vocalist change is genuinely unusual in rock and speaks to the strength of the band's songwriting infrastructure. The Alienation Tour in 2026 draws from a catalog that spans three decades and multiple vocal eras, making for a setlist that works across every period of their substantial fanbase.
